Since 1969, Halsted Welles Associates (HWA) has pioneered the integration of natural systems into one of the world’s most built environments — New York City. From rooftop oases to sculptural courtyards, these urban gardens reflect a philosophy of balance, stillness, and ecological presence in a vertical, concrete world.
