The Urban Icons are large-scale stone sculptures based on the foundational SY’NK forms: Resistance, Grace, and Resilience. These works are designed for plazas, parks, public campuses, and other urban spaces where they can act as visual anchors, emotional touchstones, and symbols of collective values.

Halsted S. Welles envisions these pieces not only as works of art — but as civic gestures, placed with the intention to uplift, unify, and humanize public space.
